  Unlike
most factory made instruments, Scott Cao's 017
models are fully hand carved by a group of skilled
makers trained by Scott Cao's students. These
instruments feature carved scroll, carved tops, back
arching and beautifully applied hand-painted
varnish. They are graduated by hand and finished
according to the specifications of the traditional
style.
Setup with Dominant strings, the 017 is
an excellent performing violin outplaying many intermediate models
from other makers. Also available as 017E model (European Varnish)
