Scott Cao's 780 Series violins are part of the most well received violins in the history of our store. The 850 models feature Italian Spruce tops, Chinese Maple back & sides, varnishing done in California, Dominant strings, Aubert bridge, Ebony fingerboard and a complete professional setup.

This model 780 is based on the violin known as the "Cremonese". The 780 Cremonese offers a very colorfully rich tone.

History of the "Cremonese" circa 1715

The "Cremonese" Violin is one of Stradivari's greatest masterpieces. Made juring his "Golden Period", it was once owned by the famous violinist Joseph Joachim but was returned permanently to the Italian cithe of Cremona in 1961. In choice wood, the pattern, the arching , the varnish, and the sound - every aspect is proff of Stradivari's great genius.
