The model 85 is a fully carved instrument using 8 year old aged woods, ebony finger board and pegs (not the imitation "ebonized" woods offered on many low level violins), hand applied traditional gloss varnish and is professionally setup using a great quality and cut bridge with D'Addario Zyex strings.

The instrument is sold as an outfit with oblong case and student horse-hair bow.

This instrument uses a standard varnish and look. It is an extremely durable instrument.
